Development, infrastructure and utilities
RAV Bahamas is the master developer of Bimini Bay and Rockwell Island. The company reclaims and prepares land, builds the roads and utility networks that serve each community, and supplies water, power and fiber to the homes and businesses it serves.
Construction and operations
OPAC Bahamas has delivered Bimini's landmark projects, including the Resorts World Bimini hotel and casino, the cruise pier and jetty, and the homes and infrastructure of Bimini Bay and Rockwell Island. The company builds in reinforced concrete and block to a luxury standard engineered for a hurricane zone, supported by its own purchasing and logistics operation in Miami.
Private beachfront estates
Rockwell Island is a private collection of beachfront estates on North Bimini, twenty minutes by seaplane from Miami, with its own dock and helipad.
Two marinas on Bimini
Bimini Bay Marina operates Bimini Mega Marina and Bimini Fisherman's Village, approximately 50 nautical miles from the South Florida coast.
Watersports and island tours
Bimini Blue Adventures offers guided watersports and island excursions from Bailey Town, led by local captains in small groups.
The SS Sapona is a concrete ship built during World War I, brought to Bimini in the 1920s and used as a Prohibition-era liquor warehouse. It ran aground in the 1926 hurricane and now lies in about 15 feet of water, one of Bimini's best-known snorkel sites. Bimini Blue Adventures runs Sapona snorkel trips, gear included, and a combined Sapona and reef shark trip.
